Hand-formed in mitsuro wax · 18k gold · made in Karuizawa, Japan

Two lines turn over one another without breaking, named for the way a river holds two paths as one.

The twist is drawn by hand in mitsuro, a wax of beeswax and pine resin too hard to work until it's been warmed in the palm. It's pulled and folded until it striates, then cast, so the finished surface still shows the direction it was worked.

Each piece is made to order by hand in my Karuizawa studio. Unless noted otherwise in the piece description, please allow 4 to 6 weeks from order to shipment. Pieces featuring pavé or custom stone setting may require up to 8 weeks.
