Komorebi · 木漏れ日
Komorebi is light you can only see because something got in its way.
Every piece here begins as mitsuro, a wax of beeswax and pine resin, too hard to work until it has been warmed in the hands. It's pulled, folded and pulled again until striations appear that no tool could cut: the record of a hand, not a machine. Cast in 18k gold, that surface stays.
Light moves across it the way it moves through a canopy. Unevenly, and never twice the same.
